The Poplars

Maria Luisa Rosseghini Farm: our green lung

Maria Luisa Rosseghini Farm is our green lung that gives breath to our entire supply chain. Since the early 2000s, we have made a clear choice: to integrate agricultural production with industrial production. The approximately 200 hectares of poplar groves, distributed across Mantua, Parma, and Cremona, directly supply our production. A short, controlled, transparent supply chain. A complete cycle, in which each phase is connected to the next. Our poplar groves are managed according to responsible and FSC®-certified criteria and PEFC, respecting environmental, social, and economic balance. A choice born from a simple conviction: what we cultivate today must contribute to building a future worth living.

Together with Parco Regionale Oglio Sud

In 2018, we made a concrete choice: together with Parco Regionale Oglio Sud, we launched a project to restore value to the land (Ecopay Connect 2020 Agreement). Some areas of our poplar groves have been redeveloped and dedicated to conservation, becoming spaces where nature can regenerate (Representative Areas). It was not only a commitment to standards, but to something broader: the balance between production and environment. This choice has generated real benefits.

  • For the environment, which regains space and continuity.
  • For the land, which is strengthened.
  • For the supply chain, which can rely on certified, traceable, sustainable raw materials.

It is a project we are proud of because it demonstrates, in concrete terms, our way of caring for what surrounds us.

Certifications

FSC® and PEFC certifications represent an ongoing commitment for us. They represent the commitment to ensure proper and responsible management over time, throughout the entire supply chain. They are proof of an approach that does not separate production and environment, but keeps them together.
