A family passionate about poplar for 4 generations

Invernizzi spa poplar panel production

This is our story. To truly understand it, you must follow it by observing how each layer rests upon the previous one. We have chosen to tell it following its natural development, year after year. But the most important thing is the thread that connects every choice, every transformation, every generation. Looking forward, we build. Looking back, we understand why. And in this balance, we find the direction of our future, oriented toward the well-being of people.

Our story, layer by layer

Libero Invernizzi founded a small sawmill. It was an essential gesture, made of work and material. In that simple and concrete place, the first intuition took shape: transforming wood into value. It was not yet a company. It was a beginning.

In Gussola, Giuseppe Invernizzi founded "Giuseppe Invernizzi e Figli," a small artisan business dedicated to woodworking. It is here that we began to recognize ourselves: in a craft, in a family, in a precise way of doing things.

In the post-war period, Costantino and Alberto Invernizzi gave new impetus to our business, expanding production with wooden packaging for preserving local products such as cured meats, cheeses, and mustards. In the early 1950s, production of poplar plywood panels was launched. We did it with care, and people noticed. In a short time, we became one of the main players in the Italian market. And so we glimpsed what we could become.

In Solarolo Rainerio, IPAS S.R.L. was established, specializing in the production of poplar chipboard panels. We expanded our way of working with wood, adding new skills and new possibilities. We began to build a broader vision without losing the connection to what we were.

Under the leadership of Giorgio Invernizzi, we united the two production facilities, establishing the headquarters in the industrial complex of Solarolo Rainerio. This is how we became INVERNIZZI S.P.A.We integrated our two souls, plywood and chipboard, transforming them into a single system. A decisive choice that gave us a strong competitive advantage and marked one of the first steps toward comprehensive and sustainable utilization of poplar wood.

Today we are led by the fourth generation. Laura and Giuseppe Invernizzi work alongside their father Giorgio, bringing new skills and perspectives. We export approximately 50% of our production to over 18 countries, operating in diversified sectors: green building, camper and caravan, automotive, recreational vehicles, furniture, construction, marine, and distribution. Our two production lines continue to interact, maintaining that complementarity which represents one of the pillars of our success, but with a new step that follows the thread born over a century ago: we are evolving from manufacturers to project partners. We support our customers in developing customized solutions with low-emission panels, designed not only to meet technical requirements but to contribute concretely to air quality in indoor environments. Because today, for us, wood is no longer just a resource to transform, but a tool to improve the way people experience spaces. Every production choice concerns well-being: that of those who live, work, and travel. An attention that is not immediately visible, but can be breathed. Family and business remain inseparable.

We continue to look forward, as the natural cycle from which everything began continues. Every day we work to develop increasingly healthy solutions, capable of generating value that goes beyond the product. We invest in research, innovation, and sustainability with this awareness: every choice we make today contributes to defining the world of tomorrow. We look forward with a precise responsibility: working for future generations. For their well-being. For the quality of the spaces they will inhabit. For a community that can grow in balance with its surroundings. We know where we come from and we work thinking of those who will come after us.

We believe in our vision

Reliability, dedication, and attention to people are the foundations on which we have built our way of working, over time.

  • We believe in the value of what we create: products that are not only high-performing but distinctive, truly capable of meeting the needs of those who choose them.
  • We believe in concrete sustainability: present in every phase of our work, from raw materials to production, to final use.
  • We believe in relationships: we support our customers with an attentive, open organization, oriented toward people even before processes.

Every day we work to improve. We promote a product culture that places quality at the center, throughout the entire supply chain, because that is where what lasts is built. And we do it with a careful eye on the market, aware of its evolutions, with the goal of growing solidly, increasing our competitiveness without losing what defines us: attention to people and the environment.
