INVERNIZZI’s poplar plywood is a natural product manufactured using poplar veneers (at least 3 plies), which have been overlaid with the wood grains running perpendicularily and glued. It is manufactured according to the formaldehyde emission control rules and can be proposed also provided of FSC or PEFC, E1 or CARB Phase 2, CE or CE+ certificates. The main feautures of the panels are: light color, low weight, uniform faces and cores and good technical performances. The product is manufactured in the maximum respect for the environment with the most limited use of chemical additives.

PLYWOOD

Upon request, Invernizzi s.p.a. poplar plywood panels meet the requirements of the QUALITY AWARD FORMALDEHYDE 4 STARS technical regulation on low formaldehyde emissions, assessed by the CATAS Laboratory abiding by the JIS A 1460 standard (Desiccator method). This Standard is used in Japan to determine the quantity of formaldehyde emissions in construction panels. Since Invernizzi plywood panels showed emissions levels lower than 0,3 mg/l, they can be classified as F****, which represents the most severe level imposed by the classification system provided by Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT).

applicaTIONS

The above classification is valid for the following application: elements placed on the wall or ceiling - not in adhesion (with air gap) - internal use as a non-structural component in a dry environment.

The company involved in the sampling activity for the initial type test (ITT) according to AoC1 the notified body LAPI for inspection and test certification pursuant to Directive 89/106 EEC.

qualiTY

Quality classification refers to standards EN 635-2

GIOCONDA :

  • CLASS I (former class AB of UNI 6471)
  • CLASS II (former class B of UNI 6471)
  • CLASS III (former class BB of UNI 6471)
  • CLASS IV (former class C of UNI 6471)

GLUING

The gluing is consonant with the norm UNI EN 314 and it is determined only on the basis of its resistance to the humidity that defines the gluing class (norm UNI EN 636)

The Invernizzi plywood is produced in:

  1. CLASS 1: ureic gluing suitable to panels used in dry places and in interiors (UNI EN 636-1)
  2. CLASS 2: melamine gluing suitable to panels used in damp or in outside but sheltered places (UNI EN 636-1). All Invernizzi plywood panels are in formaldehyde emission class EI (Certificate CATAS);
  3. CARB PHASE 2: special gluing on demand consonant to the Californian norm demanding absolutly the lowest formaldehyde emissions.

Technical features report indicative average values of poplar plywood, urea based glue line, referring to an average wood moisture content of 10% +/- 2%, realized using wood from the I-214 clone. These values may vary if, though keeping the same relation between thickness and number of layers, a different clone is used or in case there is a variation in the panel's core composition (way the veneers are disposed, thickness of the various layers).
