Invernizzi SpA is at the moment a leading company firmly affirmed on the domestic and on the international market. It operates in the sectors of the first step of the wood processing and produces plywood and chipboard panels. Both are offered in the raw and fireproof models.
The body of the company is composed by two factories, which are different one from the other but are in perfect synergy between them.
In fact, one of the main reasons of the competitive advantage towards the competitors comes from the productive complementarity between the two factories, that is expressed by the exploitation of off-cuts released by the processing cycle of the plywood in favour of the chipboard division.

A winning company since more than seventy years
History
The story began at the end of 1800 with Libero Invernizzi, who opened one of the first sawmills in Padana Valley.
In the Forties Giuseppe Invernizzi established in Gussola, not far from Cremona, the company GIUSEPPE INVERNIZZI & Sons, a small craft business specialized in the wood manufacture.
Later on started the manufacturing of what the company still produces: poplar plywood. In the postwar period the two sons, Costantino and Alberto, both very expert in specific matters, were involved in the business and they established the firm Giuseppe Invernizzi Ltd. This new industrial concern stand out in the national market increasing the products range in order to satisfy the more and more growing and more and more different requests of the customers.
In 1973, in Solarolo Rainerio, not far away from Cremona, in a context of verticalization, was established the company IPAS Ltd, specialized in the poplar chipboard panels production. From the merger of the two family companies in 1996 was originated the present concern Invernizzi SpA (joint stock company).
The company was lead by Giorgio Invernizzi, that, thanks to his realism and his farsightedness, merged the two companies, managing this way to exploit completely the production synergies of the two integrated factories. This one was a very brave and winning decision, which became a competitive advantage generated by the scale economies that had been created.
Since its beginning, the business was dedicated to the production both of plywood panels and chipboard panels, becoming one of the important witnesses of the integral exploitation of precious raw materials like wood and of the modern way to express the poly-structured company.
