"Where does your poplar wood originate from?"
"Poplar trees are harvested in Italy, small lots managed by farmers on a 10 year cycle, it is not a primary forest logged species. Comparing the certifications of tropical woods and their environmental impact to Italian poplar is just like speaking about oil versus renewable resources.
"Does your wood come from legal logging? Are the foresters certified?"
"All our wood comes from legal sources, as mentioned above it is almost totally harvested in small cultivations. Very few larger farms are certified as current certifying costs are set for companies cutting large portions of rainforest and are not sustainable for the small EU farmers: this is a problem involving everyone's true interest in development of a sustainable economy."
"Can Invernizzi SpA produce "E zero" emission panels?"
"Possibly you are just looking for our CARB Phase-2 certified panels. Panels made using our special glue LFE-CP2C come with formaldehyde emissions at the lowest levels, enormously below the current European "E1". If you require to deliver products to the state of California in the U.S.A. and need an high quality interior use panel (e.g. to produce furniture) this will do."
"Can you provide a fumigation certificate?"
"If you made some packaging using also our products and this is now being used for exporting purposes to countries where the ISPM-15 FAO rule applies you have to provide this certificate but plywood and particleboard are generally exempted, the problem usually involves the solid wood part of the boxes. We suggest you check very well the matter with your forwarder before shipping anything."
"What sizes of ITALIAN POPLAR PLYWOOD can Invernizzi SpA produce?"
"Our largest size in poplar plywood is 3130 x 2100 mm, all the common market standards like the common 4' x 8' (2440 x 1220 mm) are available. CUSTOM SIZES CAN BE PRODUCED, just ask for the precise size your factory need and let our engineers study the best possible solution for you. Though custom or cut to size panels seem to be more expensive the actual saving on waste and processing usually results in huge savings for buyers."
"Does your mill produce thin/thick panels?"
"Consider a 3-50 mm range on plywood and a 8-60 mm on poplar particleboard."
